As there’s been a bit of a hoohah regarding Instagram downgrading photos, I thought I’d resurrect this blog to share still images of my home. Starting with our living room, painted in Farrow and Ball Shaded White. It’s the paint colour I’m most asked about on my Instagram. This always surprises me, because who knew beige could be so popular?

Another question I get asked quite a lot is where do we buy our rugs from. The rug in this room is from Ruggable. I’ve collaborated with them on Instagram before and absolutely love them. The rugs are machine washable, which is a god send for us. We’re really quite a messy bunch.

I tend to buy a lot of second hand furniture for our home. Not only because it’s often a much cheaper way to furnish our home, but it also means I can swap and change things without feeling guilty or losing money. The fireplace, drawers, sofa and side table in this photo are all second-hand, either picked up on ebay or Facebook Marketplace.

Though the green sofa in the photo below is Loaf. Believe it or not, the lamp is from Aldi, as are the side tables. I would never have thought to buy larger home items there, but I was sent these for a campaign and love them. They are super affordable too.

The blackbird print is always a bit of a hit on Instagram and TikTok, but I’ve had it for years now, maybe 10, and Rose & Grey don’t sell it anymore. They should definitely restock it! The mirror is from Anthropology and was a bit of a splurge, but I love it.
